Most people arrive at bespoke having already looked everywhere else. The piece they describe is specific, and it does not exist.
Bespoke at LIRÈNE means a piece designed with you and made from nothing, around a stone chosen for that piece alone. It is not a configurator and it is not a set of interchangeable options — it is a conversation with the people who will build it, in Hong Kong, working to your budget rather than to a catalogue.
What we take on
Engagement rings, most often. After that: eternity and anniversary bands, tennis bracelets and necklaces to a specific length and stone size, earrings matched to a piece you already own, and the resetting of inherited stones into something you will actually wear.
Resetting deserves a note of its own. A stone from a grandmother's ring is frequently better than anything you would buy today, and it is very often sitting in a setting nobody has worn in thirty years. We can assess it, tell you honestly what it is, and build something around it.
How a commission runs
- Conversation. What the piece is for, what you are drawn to, and what you want to spend. WhatsApp, email or by appointment — whichever suits.
- Design. We come back with a direction, and we keep adjusting until it is right. This is the part that takes as long as it takes.
- The stone. We source to your specification and send you the IGI report before anything is set. Nothing is committed until you have seen it.
- Making. Three to four weeks in the workshop from confirmation.
- Delivery. Insured DHL Express, complimentary within Hong Kong and Singapore.
Stones we can source
IGI-certified lab-grown diamonds in every standard shape, and in fancy colours — pinks and blues that would be prohibitive as natural stones are genuinely attainable grown. Natural diamonds where you want them, certified the same way. Sapphires, emeralds and other coloured stones for pieces where the colour is the point.
We will also tell you when a stone is a poor idea for the setting you have in mind. An emerald in a ring worn daily on a working hand is a conversation worth having before it is cut, not after.
Cost, and how it is agreed
Bespoke is not automatically more expensive than buying finished. Because we hold no inventory and work direct, a commissioned piece is frequently priced below a comparable ring bought from a display case — you are paying for the stone and the work, not for the room it sat in.
We quote before anything is made, against a confirmed design and a specific certified stone. A deposit secures the stone and starts the work; the balance and schedule are agreed with you directly rather than set by a fixed published percentage. There is no charge for the design conversation, and no obligation to proceed after it.
What we will not do
We do not copy another house's protected design, and we will say so rather than quietly changing a detail and calling it original. We will not certify moissanite as a diamond, because it is not one. And we will not promise a timeline the workshop cannot hold — if a stone is slow to source, we tell you at the start.
