The question we are asked most
Is a lab-grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. The same crystallised carbon in the same lattice, the same 10 on the Mohs scale, the same behaviour in light. IGI grades it against the same four criteria as a mined stone and states its origin on the report — separating the two is a laboratory matter, not something an unaided eye can do.
On resale we will not pretend: a grown stone does not hold value the way a mined one does. But no diamond bought at retail resells for what it cost either. What destroys resale is the markup — showroom rent, staff, unsold stock — not where the stone formed.
